I met (some ‘met’ as in ‘finally met irl’) a ton of awesome peeps on Friday, and gave a lot of hugs to people who’ve inspired me through force of sheer internet awesomeness. There’s a special and wonderful power to asking people if they seem familiar because I’ve hung out with them before or if they seem familiar from GPOYWs. The winningest scenario of the evening went to Alex Blagg, who handled the aforementioned question with aplomb, accidentally convinced me he should blog from the GRAMMY red carpet, and was appreciatively unappreciative when I compared him to first Owen Wilson then corrected myself to Luke Wilson. Also my potential for webclick synchronicity maximization went through the roof just by shaking his hand. Right?
