The Association in downtown Los Angeles recently changed their menu, but they are still creating hand crafted cocktails at reasonable (in this day and age) drinks with a ton of style and flair, as well as perfecting some of the classics. They go head to head with Cole’s and the Varnish every night over the quality of the competing Sazeracs.
These two drinks look the same, but one is the Aviation - an old-fashioned drink laced with Creme de Violette and Maraschino. Lovely, but ultimately too sweet for me.
The other, a Vesper, is the perfect blend of floral gin, strong vodka, and the sweet smoothness of Lillet.
Elisabeth? Jon? Jessica? Will? If you don’t contribute to this — well, God, Jed, I don’t even wanna know you.
