The internet is a communication tool. There are still real people on the other end. Your words do have an effect. How many of us have made real, genuine friends through the internet? If we’re capable of making friends, falling in love, developing meaningful relationships through the internet then how hard is it to grasp that we can also seriously hurt people with the things we say online?

You can’t have it both ways, people. Either nothing we say on the internet matters and all the relationships we create and maintain through the internet are meaningless, or the things we say/post online DO matter and do effect people in a myriad of ways. Pick one.

About Me

Megan gets paid to create stuff on the internet. She is just as surprised about that as you are.

She lives other places online, too.
