Today, the almighty social media blog/Internet event coordinators Mashable opened up nominations for its 4th Annual Mashable Awards (you should obviously take a break from reading this and go nominate me for everything), which honors killer achievements in superior strat.
The award categories include everything from “Best Use of an API” to “Must-Follow Brand”, but I really feel like they could really blow this thing out and make it even bigger. So here is a list of 20 additional Social Media Awards categories that I just made up.
1. Most Re-Tweeted Twitterblast
2. Most Impossible To Close Takeover/Pop-Up Ad
3. Best App For Finding New Apps
4. Most Hilariously Nonsensical Use of the Term ‘Curate’
5. Longest Linkbait Countdown List
6. Biggest Sponsorship of a Ridiculous ‘Lounge’, ‘Live Event’ or ‘Awards Gala’
7. Most Brazen Business Expense Write-Off
8. Most Overly Dramatic Name For A Tech Conference
9. Lifetime Achievement in Content Packaging
10. Best Kiss
I’d like to nominate Rae Votta for number 13!
I’d also be interested in meeting with the number 6 nominees.
Me and my tiny hat salute you, Megan.
I’m doing Ten Kra-FLILLION hits dot com and there is little to nothing you can do to stizzle my dot com bizzle!
