Lefsetz has made much of Apple’s industry-changing habit of saying X will function like Y because we think it’s the best way for X to function (here’s a good example), which works for iTunes, the iPod and the iPhone (and might work for the iPad [watch out Kindle!]), but was certainly not the case with Apple TV.
